Target Audience:
Radiologists, and Medical Imaging Residents and Fellows Program Description: Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) is an innovative technology with well-established advantages of earlier detection of breast cancers and reduction in the number of unnecessary biopsies, minimizing patient anxiety and unnecessary costs. This 3-hour workshop will focus on DBT and its use in a clinical setting. The sessions will include a lecture by an international leading breast radiologist and an interactive case review module. There will be hands on DBT session on a variety of cases including screening and diagnostic setting. This will be followed by faculty led review of data sets on dedicated tomosynthesis work stations with an emphasis on audience participation. Goals: Radiologists, Residents and Fellows working in the field of breast imaging will be introduced to this advanced imaging technique which will enhance their skills for integration of the technique within their practice by attending this workshop.
