MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to announce that we will be organising the Singapore Congress of Radiology (SGCR) 2016 on 19 – 21 February 2016. This congress is a joint meeting of the 25th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Singapore Radiological Society and College of Radiologists Singapore, and 5th Workshops in Interventional Radiology Education in Singapore (WIRES). The theme of this conference will be “Challenges in Imaging, Complications in Intervention”.
SGCR 2016 aims to bring together practitioners of radiology – doctors, nurses, radiographers, and related industry in this field – in the diagnostic and intervention space, to address the challenges in imaging brought about by more advanced imaging technologies as well as exchange perspectives on handling complications in radiological interventions as a result of increased sophistication of image guided therapies and newer innovative medical devices.
This 3-day conference encompasses not only lectures from renowned international, regional and local speakers but will include hands-on workshop in interpretation of MRI images in the diagnostic track, and in the intervention track, there will be hands-on sessions as well as live case telecast for greater traction in learning.
Beyond the educational and scientific value of this meeting, participants will experience the myriad of attractions and quality experience that Singapore has to offer. According to Lonely Planet’s influential Best in Travel publication, Singapore is voted No. 1 in its list of Top 10 places to visit in 2015. Our committee will be putting together an exciting social programme at various attractive venues to foster networking amongst congress participants.
We look forward to your support and participation in SGCR 2016.
Yours sincerely,
